Camping Ardèche

The region
Saint Martin d'Ardèche is a village situated at the southern end of Southern Ardèche, where there is a gentle Mediterranean climate and the cicadas sing.

Situated on the banks of the river Ardèche and only a quarter of an hour from the motorway exit, the village has a unique geographical situation.
Saint Martin d'Ardèche is only 30 km from Vallon Pont d'Arc and they are linked by the famous Ardèche Gorge and the tourist route.   
The most famous sinkholes and caves are close by, along with the Cèze valley and the outer edges of the Gard Department (Aiguèze, listed as “one of the most beautiful villages in France”, the Vaucluse with Avignon (City of the Popes), Orange and its ancient theatre and, just an hour away by car, the Mediterranean…

You’ll find all the usual shops in Saint Martin d'Ardèche, but you can also enjoy the little boutiques, stroll through the evening markets or the local festivals and discover the typical Sunday market.
You can also go to a restaurant, have a drink, go to the beach or hire a pedalo…

The main activity in the Ardèche is still canoeing.  You need to fulfil two conditions if you want to canoe down the river: you must be at least 7 years old and you must be able to swim. There are several routes available: a 6-km short descent, a 24-km descent or a 30-km two-day descent. Departure and arrival points for this activity are both at the bottom end of the campsite.
You may also follow the GR (long-distance) walking paths alone or take part in the guided walks organised by the Saint Martin d'Ardèche Tourist Office.
And why not enjoy the surrounding countryside on horseback, bike or quad.
